The heat of the air is absorbed by the water causing the water to boil and carry the heat off as steam reducing the air temperature. May contain a water tank and/or a collector or condensor section turning a portion of the steam back into water conserving the water supply. Contains air inlet and outlet ports. May incorporate an air bypass outlet and a steam vent port. Normally used in aircraft air conditioning systems.
