Part Details | MINE CLEARING BLADE
2590-01-230-8862 Consists of two independently, mechanically operated moldboards with scarifier teeth (tines) supported by skid shoes. Each blade is designed to be mounted on the front of a full-tracked, combat tank with the sole purpose of clearing antitank mines from within the track path. The bottom section of each moldboard has scarifier teeth welded permanently in place. The scarifier teeth dig into the ground and act as the cutting edge for the blade. The teeth cast the mines up into the moldboards which in turn throws them aside and away from the tank's track.
